Moot highlights recent advances in mathematics
LAHORE:The two-day 3rd international conference on ‘Recent Advances in Mathematics’ began on Wednesday. A total of 157 national and international researchers from USA, Turkiye, China, Canada, Denmark, Morocco, Portugal, Malaysia, Iraq, Thailand, Lebanon, Ghana, KSA, UAE and Pakistan are participating in the conference being organised by Department of Mathematics at University of Education (UE), Lahore.
UE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aqif Anwar Chaudhry presided over the opening ceremony at the Township Campus while Government College University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Omer Chaudhry was the chief guest on this occasion. Prof Dr M Azam briefed about the objectives of the conference. It may be noted here that the conference is being organised at UE’s Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad campuses simultaneously.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aqif Anwar said that this two-day event is a testament to our commitment for research, culture, innovation and global academic collaboration. The conference will provide an opportunity for researchers to discuss the current socio-industrial ground realities as well as the latest developments and research perspectives in the field of mathematics. Those mathematicians from all over the world are participating in the conference, who are considered big names in this field. He said that through the conference, new knowledge will be explored to apply in modern demands of the era, he added.
