Sindh police can defeat anti-social, terrorist elements: Lanjar
Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar on Saturday attended the 181st Passing Out Parade ceremony held at the Police Training Center Shahdadpur as the chief guest.
Sindh IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon, CPLC Chief Zubair Habib, DIG Training Faizullah Korejo and other senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
SSP Zahida Parveen shed detailed light on the facilities available and required in this college.
The home minister congratulated the 393 pass-out recruits, including 50 female recruits, on the successful completion of their training and also appreciated the hard work and dedication of all the trainers.
He said the Shahdadpur Training College has been a unique and excellent training center since its inception. Earlier, DSPs and 17th grade officers also took training from this college. Special care has been taken of the climate and weather in the establishment of this college in Shaheed Benazirabad, while this training college also holds a prominent position in terms of police training.
He said that as home minister, it is his wish that further improvements and facilities be made possible in this college. The aim of this initiative is to make the training of the police easier, better and more convenient because the smooth performance of duties depends on the improvement in the quality of training and the availability of facilities.
He said that we all have to protect our homeland and the land of Sindh and you people have to perform your duties as the protectors of the nation. You people are our protectors and this is what you people have been taught in training. Your responsibilities are not easy, but you have taken an oath to deal with every challenge and protect the citizens.
He said that you should believe with all your heart that Sindh Police is no less than any force. Today, Sindh Police is the cradle of peace in Sindh and its cities and you are the vanguard against those who cast a dark eye on Sindh. I am sure that with your determination, courage and bravery, you will defeat the anti-social and terrorist elements on every front. You have to destroy the dacoits, street criminals and ensure the safety of the citizens.
Lanjar said the Sindh government wants to give you incentives and provide a better lifestyle, while providing the best medical facilities to your children and parents is also our priority. In addition, the announcement and implementation of the health insurance policy for this purpose is an excellent step.
He said that on the recommendation of the IGP, he is announcing an increase the number of trainees free-mashing from 6,000 to 8,000 and the Sindh government will bear the burden of all the expenses incurred on free-mashing.
He said the comprehensive recommendations regarding the decoration and decoration of this training center, other facilities and required electrical and construction matters should be sent for review and appropriate measures should be taken soon.
On this occasion, he announced separate CC First and a basic salary for two female recruits and three male recruits for their outstanding performance in training.
IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon said the Shahdadpur Training College was established in Manghopir in 1943, shifted to Sanghar in 1949 and later shifted to Shahdadpur in 1952.
While this police training center was upgraded from school to college level in 1994. Earlier 98 principals have served as training commandants of this college. From here, officers and youth of Sindh Police, Northern Areas, Jammu and Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, Balochistan Police, Railway Police, FIA, Anti-Corruption, Motorway, Excise Police have received training.
At present, 1186 trainees are taking departmental courses of different categories in this college.
