April 10, 2025
The residents of Landhi, Karachi are plagued by open drains and leaking sewerage lines across different areas of the locality. These open drains not only smell bad but also present a major health risk to the general public, particularly children and the elderly. Leaking sewerage water has been standing on roads and around residential places, providing an ideal breeding site for mosquitoes and a higher chance of waterborne diseases. Notwithstanding repeated complaints made to the responsible municipal authorities, no effective action has been taken till date. The situation still worsens, impacting the health and daily life of the inhabitants.
