Islamabad: Senior journalist Syed Ali Nasir Jafri passed away on Saturday. The deceased had been ill for some time. His funeral prayers was offered on Sunday at Imambargah Bab-ul-Ilm, Markaz I-8, says a press release. Later, he was buried in the cemetery of H-11. A large number of friends and journalists besides relatives attended the funeral. To pay homage to the deceased, a Quran recitation will be held at Imambargah Bab-ul-Ilm, Markaz I-8 today (Monday) after Maghrib. The deceased worked for a foreign news agency for a long time. Nasir Jafri left behind a widow, a son and a daughter among the mourners.
