Drug addict stabbed to death
LAHORE:A violent altercation between two drug addicts in the Garhi Shahu area turned deadly late last night, leaving one man dead and sparking renewed concerns about drug abuse and street violence in the City.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around midnight near the railway quarters. Witnesses reported a heated exchange between the two men, which escalated into a physical confrontation. During the scuffle, one of the addicts pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed the other. By the time residents alerted the police and emergency services arrived but the victim died on the spot. The victim was not identified so far. Police described him as a man believed to be in his late 30s, appearing to be a habitual drug user. No identification documents were found on him at the time of recovery. Body was shifted to morgue.
