Man shoots niece dead for ‘honour’ in Jhang

JHANG A MAN shot his niece dead for honour at Chak 175 on Faisalabad Road on Saturday. According to police, Shahid Baloch allegedly shot his 19- year-old niece Tehreem Fatima dead. The police have arrested the accused and started investigation. 

HEALTHCARE: To improve the healthcare services in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Akbar on Saturday directed the assistant commissioners of all tehsils to visit the THQ hospitals and public health facilities under their administrative jurisdiction. He instructed that during these inspections, they should not only check the attendance of doctors and support staff but also assess the provision of a free medicine facility, functionality of medical equipment, and overall sanitation conditions and report their observations directly to him.
