Livestock dept sets up check posts to prevent spread of LSD in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: The Livestock and Dairy Development Department (LDD) has established check posts at all internal and external routes across the division to prevent the spread of lumpy skin disease (LSD) in livestock. A total of 23 check posts have been set up in Faisalabad Division. These include eight in Jhang, seven in Faisalabad, and four each in Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh districts. Veterinary staff has been deployed for 24 hours to spray animals with insecticides to control ticks and flies. The L&DD director inspected the attendance of the veterinary staff and the availability of medications at all posts and instructed truck owners to ensure their animals receive spray at the check posts.
DBA BANS ARMS, PRIVATE GUARDS TO BOLSTER SECURITY: To bolster security, the District Bar Association (DBA) following a meeting chaired by DBA President Riaz Saifur Rehman Bhatti has enacted a complete prohibition on the exhibition of weapons and the admission of private security personnel on the premises of the district and session courts.
It was unanimously decided that after 7pm, general public access to the court premises would be restricted. However, in an emergency, individuals would be required to show identification and undergo a police search before entry. The meeting also resolved to ban the presence of private security guards within the court premises and session courts, stipulating that individuals feeling threatened must inform the Bar administration in writing within two days while the ban on entering with guards remains in effect.
Furthermore, violators of the ban will face action under the law. The meeting also decided that strict action would be taken against those involved in drug trafficking or any illegal and immoral activities within the court premises. The meeting was attended by the administration committee, former DBA presidents, and all concerned parties.
