DC commends officials for excellent Eid arrangements
BUREWALA: Vehari Deputy Commissioner Imrana Tauqeer chaired a meeting of the officials, appreciating their efforts in ensuring excellent arrangements during Eidul Fitr.
She lauded the performance of all departments, highlighting their dedication and responsibility in maintaining cleanliness across the district. DC Imrana Tauqeer stated that the Punjab Chief Minister’s Suthra Punjab programme received positive public feedback. The citizens acknowledged the cleanliness of Eidgahs, streets and roads, she added. She directed the relevant departments to compile data on LPG refilling shops and take measures to prevent cylinder explosion incidents. Strict action will be taken against unauthorised LPG refilling in residential areas, she added. Additionally, she emphasised the relocation of mini cattle farms outside the urban areas. The deputy commissioner urged the price control magistrates to work proactively, ensuring the sale of essential commodities at fixed rates. Specific targets would be set to monitor price control enforcement, she added. She instructed the officials to cover open manholes and work with a spirit of public service.
