PESHAWAR: Police have busted a gang involved in armed robbery in a house in Gulbahar and taking the family hostage.Superintendent of Police Faqirabad Talal Ahmad told a press conference that the accused broke into a house in Gulbahar through a window after 3am and took the family hostage and beat them up.
The robbers looted gold ornaments and cash worth millions of rupees from cupboards and lockers before they escaped. The official said police recovered cash and valuables worth Rs10.3m.
