PESHAWAR: Authorities have stepped up efforts to ensure transparency in matriculation exams, deploying Intelligence Bureau and Special Branch personnel in plain clothes outside examination halls to report suspicious activities.
Male and female assistant commissioners will conduct surprise inspections of boys’ and girls’ exam centres, respectively, while a separate strategy has been devised to prevent cheating in high-risk centres.
Strict action will be taken against staff found aiding malpractice.Chairing a meeting on examination security, Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mahsud emphasised the need for a collective crackdown on the cheating mafia.
The meeting, attended by Chairman Peshawar Board of Education Nasrullah Khan, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Sarmad Saleem Akram, and private school representatives from Peshawar, Charsadda, Chitral, Mohmand, and Khyber districts, reaffirmed a commitment to ensuring fair examinations. It was decided that only staff with proven integrity would be appointed for examination duties.
