LHC CJ accepts plea against Detention Act for early hearing
Court orders to fix March 27 for hearing of the main case

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelam has accepted an application for early hearing of a case about suspension of Section 3(1) of the Detention Act (Maintenance of Public Order).
The court ordered to fix March 27 for hearing of the main case. The court heard a miscellaneous application of the Punjab government and the government lawyer took the position that the Lahore High Court had suspended Section 3(1) of the Detention Act (Maintenance of Public Order) on an application of Zainab Umair and others.
