IPH 10 ghost employees dismissed, recovery ordered

LAHORE: The Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education has dismissed 10 ghost and fake promoted employees of the Institute of Public Health.

A case was registered against the ghost employees who received salaries, other benefits and promotions while sitting at home, while an order has been issued to recover more than Rs30 million.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment Department Punjab has been directed for strict action against all ghost and fake promoted employees.

According to the details, Assistant Omar Bin Javed was dismissed from his service and sentenced to recover over Rs4.6 million. Junior Clerk M Zeeshan was dismissed and sentenced to recover over Rs3.6 million.

Junior Clerk Tajammul Shah Nawaz was dismissed and sentenced to recover over Rs3.4 million. Stenographer M Zahid Sharif was sentenced to recover over Rs2 million. Assistant Imran Mumtaz was dismissed and sentenced to recover over Rs4.9 million. Stenographer Zainul Abidin was dismissed and sentenced to recover over Rs4 million. Former Office Superintendent Gul Nawaz Cheema was dismissed and sentenced to recover Rs2.4 million, former office Superintendent Muhammad Sarfaraz was dismissed and was sentenced to recover over Rs2.4 million and former Office Superintendent Zahid Ali was dismissed from his job and was

sentenced to recover Rs2.2 million. In light of the recommendations of the inquiry committee, action has been taken against all ghost and fake promoted employees of IPH.
