JI condemns terror incidents
LAHORE:Jamaat-i-Islami Punjab (Central) Emir Muhammad Javed Kasuri has condemned rising incidents of terrorism, stressing that even the sanctity of Ramazan is not spared.
Addressing an Iftar dinner at Cosmopolitan Club, Bagh-i-Jinnah, here, he criticised the federal government for its failure to protect citizens’ lives and property. He alleged that India is behind the persistent terror attacks in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and urged the government to expose its role globally.
He called for political unity against terrorism, urging all parties to set aside differences for national security. Acknowledging journalists' sacrifices in covering terrorism, he praised their role in raising awareness. He also criticised the government over soaring inflation and a weak administrative grip, blaming it for failing to provide relief during Ramazan.
He accused the ruling authorities of leaving the system at the mercy of mafias, increasing poverty and unemployment. Jamaat, he affirmed, will continue its struggle for public rights.
