TDAP, NIC Lahore partner to boost IT sector’s global reach
KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and NIC Lahore are exploring a strategic collaboration to expand Pakistan’s technology exports, with a focus on global market integration.
Executive Director of NetSol and President of NIC Lahore Ayub Ghauri met with TDAP Chief Executive Faiz Ahmad Chadhar at the TDAP Lahore office on Monday. The officials later toured NIC Lahore in Gulberg, where discussions centred on fostering international market access for Pakistani startups.
Chadhar emphasised the growing significance of IT as the country’s third-largest export sector and underscored TDAP’s role in driving initiatives that enhance global outreach. He commended NIC Lahore’s contribution to managing regional rounds of the PIXS Competition in collaboration with TDAP and reaffirmed the authority’s support for tech-driven accelerators. Ghauri proposed a structured partnership between TDAP and NICs to facilitate Pakistani startups’ expansion into key international markets, particularly the MENA region, Asia-Pacific and Shenzhen, China.
