Naseebo withdraws case against husband
LAHORE : In a dramatic turn of events, folk singer Naseebo Lal has reconciled with her husband, Naveed Hussain, and withdrawn the domestic violence case she had filed against him at Shahdara Town Police Station.
According to police sources, Naseebo Lal has submitted a written statement requesting the cancellation of the FIR. She also refused to undergo a medical examination, which was necessary for legal proceedings.
The singer stated that the altercation was due to a family dispute, and now that they have reconciled, she does not wish to pursue legal action against her husband.
Earlier, Naseebo Lal had alleged that her husband verbally abused her before attacking her with a brick, causing injuries to her face and nose. However, with this latest development, police are expected to close the case.
The incident has once again highlighted the challenges victims of domestic violence face when it comes to seeking justice, particularly in cases where family pressure or reconciliation leads to the withdrawal of complaints.
