10 terrorists killed as attack on KP’s Jandola post thwarted
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday appreciated officers and personnel of security forces
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: Security forces on Thursday killed 10 Khwarij, who attacked a post in Jandola in the area of South Waziristan and Tank District.
On March 13, Khwarij attempted to attack a security forces’ post in general area Jandola, South Waziristan and Tank districts, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said. The attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by own troops, which forced the Khwarij to ram an explosive laden vehicle into the perimeter wall.
Troops fought bravely, effectively engaged the assailants and after an intense fire exchange, all ten Khwarij, including a suicide bomber, were sent to hell, outside the perimeter wall of the post.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday appreciated the officers and personnel of security forces for foiling the attack of terrorists of Fitna al-Khwarij on their check-post in Jandola, Tank. The prime minister said the government would continue to foil designs of the terrorists who were trying to create unrest in the country. He said the war against menace of terrorism would continue till its complete elimination from the country.
