ISLAMABAD: Expressing concern over the “silence” of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on the province’s deteriorating situation, the PPP and PMLN Tuesday agreed to jointly formulate a plan of action for the overall development and sustainable peace in the province.
The leaders of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), in a joint meeting at the KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s Islamabad residence, agreed to contact like-minded political parties for the development of the province and to include them in the consultation process.
Leaders of both parties discussed the overall situation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the meeting hosted by the KP governor. It was held on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The leaders of both parties expressed concern over the unrest, economic crisis and political instability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PPP and PMLN also agreed to continue regular consultations for the overall development of the province.
The meeting paid tribute to law enforcement agencies for the eradication of terrorism and establishment of peace.
The meeting paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives in the war against terrorism.
