RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed three Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tank District on Saturday.
The security forces conducted the IBO on reported presence of Khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.
During the operation, the security personnel effectively engaged the Khwarij location, as a result of which three Khwarij were sent to hell.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians. Sensitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR said. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari lauded the security forces for the operation and killing three Khwarij.
He said operations against terrorists would continue till the complete eradication of the menace of terrorism. He said the whole nation stood with the security forces in the war against terrorism. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the security forces for carrying out the operation successfully against Fitna-al-Khawarij (terrorists). He said: “We are fully determined to completely root out terrorism from the country.”
