CHAKDARRA: Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North) head Inayatullah Khan has expressed deep concerns over the worsening law and order situation in the province, stating that the government is neglecting security issues while focusing entirely on protests and sit-ins.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Inayatullah Khan said that the deteriorating security situation in the province is alarming and that the government has failed to address it. “Jamaat-e-Islami is advocating for peace, while efforts are being made to impose taxes in the Malakand Division,” he said. He announced that his party has formed a committee to oppose the imposition of taxes and will organize a stakeholder conference.

Additionally, they are prepared to launch an “Aman Pasoon” (Peace March) at any time, ensuring that they will not leave the people alone in this crisis.Inayatullah Khan emphasized that Malakand Division plays a crucial role in the country’s development, especially given its proximity to the Afghan border. Expressing concern over the rising wave of lawlessness, he condemned recent attacks, including the Bannu attack and the killing of innocent people. “Mosques, hujras (guesthouses), and public places are no longer safe,” he said, blaming both the provincial and central governments for their weak policies on maintaining peace and security.
