PU, Ombudsman office sign MoU to boost research work

LAHORE:Punjab University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Research and Development Wing of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, to foster research collaborations in areas of mutual interest. In this regard, the signing ceremony was held at PU VC’s office committee room on Wednesday.

PU VC Prof Dr M Ali, Director External Linkages Prof Dr Yaamina Salman, Senior Advisor Research at the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab Dr Mian Waheed ud Din, Director Research Dr Mukaram Ali Khan and senior policy advisors of the Office of Ombudsman Punjab were also present on this occasion.

The agreement aims to strengthen academic cooperation, facilitate the exchange of research resources and organise joint symposia, seminars, workshops, conferences etc. The MoU also encourages collaborative publications and personnel training to enhance research. The attendees highlighted the importance of academic collaboration in supporting evidence-based policymaking.
