90 illegal properties sealed

LAHORE:LDA teams conducted a full-scale operation against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters and sealed 90 properties in different areas here on Monday.

LDA teams conducted operations in Gulberg, Faisal Town, Shadman, Shah Jamal, Gulshan Ravi, Shadbagh, Sabzazar. The properties sealed included private schools, restaurants, pharmacies, book shops, workshops, beauty parlors, food points, shops, offices, etc. Meanwhile, LDA DG Tahir Farooq visited various blocks of Johar Town, Samsani Road, N Block, and G1 Market Commercial Zone and reviewed LDA-owned property on N Block and Samsani Road.

He directed to remove encroachments and fence LDA-owned land on N Block and Samsani Road. He directed Director Housing to ensure the protection of LDA-owned property in N Block. LDA, in collaboration with the district administration, will remove encroachments around Samsani Road. Later, he inspected development works in the commercial zone G1 Market, received feedback from traders’ union about the quality of work and directed the project director to work in two shifts. Project Director gave a briefing, saying the work of developing the parking area and remodeling the market was under way in the G1 Market Commercial Zone. Tough tiles were being installed around the market, network wiring was being done underground. The facades of the commercial properties in the G1 Market will be painted uniformly and signposted. The remodeling of the G1 Market Commercial Zone will permanently eliminate encroachments.
