NOWSHERA: Advisor to Prime Minister and former chief minister Pervez Khattak on Monday condemned the perpetrators involved in the suicide attack on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami leader Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani at Darul Uloom Haqqania.

Talking to reporters after offering condolences to the bereaved family members, he said that no religion supported such terrorists.“Darul Uloom Haqqania is a prominent religious institution for the Muslim world, particularly for the Muslims of the subcontinent. Those involved in this heinous conspiracy must be exposed, and the real culprits and their facilitators should be brought to justice,” he demanded.

Darul Uloom Haqqania deputy administrator Maulana Rashidul Haq Haqqani who is also brother of late Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, and his son Abdul Haq Sani were also present on the occasion.

Pervez Khattak said that Maulana Abdul Haq, his son Maulana Samiul Haq and grandson Maulana Hamidul Haq always worked for the promotion of Islam, the implementation of Shariah and the protection of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat. He questioned why they were targeted by terrorism.

He said that Darul Uloom Haqqania was an internationally recognised institution, respected across the Muslim world, including the United States and Europe. “Targeting it is extremely unfortunate,” he said, adding that they stood in solidarity with the entire family of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani in their grief. Pervez Khattak said that the world acknowledged the status of Darul Uloom Haqqania, comparing it to the second Deoband. He expressed concerns over the recent wave of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling it a matter of grave concern for both the provincial and federal governments.
