LAHORE:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has arrested four human traffickers, including Raheel Parvez, the most wanted suspect listed in the Red Book. The other arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Umar, Yamam Nadeem, and Rohan Mehmood.

According to FIA, the suspects were involved in visa fraud, deceiving innocent citizens with false promises of overseas employment. Raheel Parvez had been wanted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore since 2019 for defrauding people of Rs9 million under the pretense of sending them to Canada. The other suspects were running illegal travel agencies and collecting passports without licences.

FIA arrested the suspects from Model Town, Rehman Garden, and Shama, Lahore. During the raids, authorities recovered 12 Pakistani passports, educational documents, and mobile SIMs. The traffickers would collect large sums of money before disappearing, leaving victims stranded. The suspects failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the recovered passports.

FIA Lahore Director Sarfraz Khan Virk stated that a crackdown on human traffickers is ongoing, with operations being intensified to dismantle international trafficking networks. He reaffirmed the agency’s zero-tolerance policy and assured that the arrested individuals would face strict legal action.
