KARACHI: Imam-ul-Haq has been included in the Pakistan squad to replace Fakhar Zaman, who was ruled out of the mega event after being injured while fielding against New Zealand in the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy.
A PCB media release issued on Thursday said the PCB sent Imam’s name to the ICC Technical Committee as a replacement. After the committee’s approval, Imam has now been made a regular part of the squad. The ICC Technical Committee includes Pakistan Cricket Board’s Usman Wahlah, Wasim Khan, Sarah Edgar and Shaun Pollock.
