ISLAMABAD: Twelve militants were killed in the security forces action in North Waziristan Agency and Frontier Region (FR) Bannu district on Wednesday.At least nine militants were killed in an air strike in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan. According to media reports, jets pounded militant hideouts, killing nine terrorists and injuring 13 others.Meanwhile, during an attack on a check post of security forces in FR Bannu, one security forces personnel was martyred and in retaliation the forces killed three militants. The security forces cordoned off the area after the assault and started a search operation.
