Rs4.6 million released for injured cops
LAHORE:Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar Tuesday released Rs4.6million for injured cops.
According to Punjab Police spokesperson, Rs1.5million was released for treatment of injured constable Muhammad Jawad, Rs1million for injured constable Muhammad Ansar and driver constable Zia Ullah and Rs0.3million for injured head constable Muhammad Sarfraz. The IGP released Rs100,000 each for injured Constable Dalmir Hassan, Constable Javed Iqbal and Constable Muhammad Iqbal.
Injured SI Farmaish Ali, ASI Abdul Rashid, Constable Muhammad Zaman and Constable Muhammad Makki were given Rs100,000 each for medical expenses. Injured Sub-Inspector Abdul Rauf and Head Constable Muhammad Aqif were given Rs 50,000 each for medical expenses. The Compensation Award Committee, chaired by Additional IG Welfare Imran Irshad, approved the release of funds.
