Two cousins drown in canal

MALAKWAL: Two cousins drowned in a canal at Haria Headworks, some 10km from here on Wednesday.

Muhammad Kausar, 20, of Maula Nagar and his cousin Shahbaz, 22, were taking bath in the canal to beat the heat when they drowned. On information, a Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and recovered their bodies.

BODY RECOVERED: The body of a youth, who drowned in a canal about five days ago, was recovered on Wednesday.

Adnan, 20, of Lahore had come to Mandi Bahauddin to meet his relatives. About five days ago, he was bathing in Lower Canal Jhelum near Khewa when he drowned.
