Nine die in road accidents in 24 hours

LAHORE:The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,428 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
In these accidents, nine people died, whereas 1,659 were injured. Out of these, 724 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 935 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
One dies in wall collapse
A wall of an under-construction building collapsed on Jail Road, close to Services Hospital, resulting into death of a man while leaving another injured. Rescue teams shifted the injured to hospital.
