Machine used in drug manufacturing seized

PESHAWAR: An ice (methamphetamine) mixing machine was recovered on Monday during an action in Achini, The Excise and Narcotics Control Department said.The Excise officials were tipped off about smuggling of mixing machine and raw material being used in the manufacturing of ice and heroin. The official said the smuggler during the chase escaped and left his bike behind.

The Excise officials said they recovered the mixing machine as well as 1.2 kilograms of ice and 2 KG of heroin. Last week an official said a raid was conducted on a house in Paharipura from where 10 KGs of ice, 17 KG of heroin and 2 KG of raw material was recovered. Machine and other equipment used in the preparation and mixing of ice and heroin were seized.
