One killed, seven hurt in road accidents
A young man was killed and a woman injured in a motorcycle accident in Shah Latif Town, while six people, including two women and an infant, were injured in a separate mishap near DHA City on the Super Highway.
The accident occurred near the Mubeen Arcade on the National Highway. An unidentified vehicle hit a motorcycle, as a result of which a 24-year-old youth, Husnain, son of Aamir, was killed and an 18-year-old woman, Fatima, daughter of Imran, injured.
Eyewitnesses reported that Husnain and Fatima were on the motorcycle, accompanied by another group on a separate motorcycle performing road stunts. While doing so, Husnain lost the control, causing them to fall onto the road, where an oncoming vehicle ran them over, killing the youth on the spot. Police handed over the body to the family after the completion of legal formalities.
