348 held for encroachment

PESHAWAR: The city traffic police arrested 348 people in operations against encroachment. The city traffic police officials had directed the encroachment mafia across the city to voluntarily remove the encroachments or face action.
The action was taken following instructions from Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan.“Over 348 people were arrested during the operation and the goods were seized,” said spokesman Shahab Umarzai.
Meanwhile, the city traffic police conducted training programmes at various educational institutions as well as other places to sensitize students and citizens about traffic laws.The purpose was to save citizens from accidents and control traffic mess.
