PTI abandoned province to militants: Governor Kundi
Governor claims that corruption and nepotism had increased under PTI-led government
TAKHTBHAI: Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday held the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government responsible for the deteriorating law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a gathering here, he alleged that instead of using public funds for welfare, the PTI had squandered national resources on political rallies and gatherings.
The governor claimed that corruption and nepotism had increased under the PTI-led government, calling this evidence of the party’s governance a failure. He accused the PTI of abandoning the province to militants, stating that even the chief minister could not visit his native village due to security concerns.
He expressed concerns over the plight of Pakhtuns, asserting that the provincial government had pushed them to the brink of disaster. He accused PTI of misleading the youth with empty slogans, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he emphasized, had always worked for the progress and prosperity of the nation. He highlighted the PPP’s contributions, including making Pakistan a nuclear power, and said that the party remained committed to democratic values and public service.
