Islamabad:The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, in collaboration with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), is going to launch an exciting initiative to introduce smart classrooms in 40 girls’ schools across the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
This project aims to enhance the quality of education and provide a more engaging learning experience for students, according to officials. They said in the first phase, five districts-Nagar, Ghizer, Shigar, Diamer and Kharmang-had been selected for the project, which was part of the government's efforts to promote education and digital literacy, especially among girls in remote areas.
The officials said by introducing smart classrooms, students will have access to digital resources, interactive learning tools, and a more immersive learning environment. They said the project has the potential to revolutionise education in Gilgit-Baltistan and empower young girls to become active participants in the digital economy.
Meanwhile, Nausheen Barkat, the first woman CEO of Bee Company from Hunza and a powerhouse known for delivering exponential financial returns through her proposals to various Shark Tanks, delivered an inspiring lecture on entrepreneurship at the Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2.
