CADD to hire Montessori teachers, their assistants

The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has planned to appoint 11 Montessori teachers and as many assistants for them to the five government schools in the Islamabad capital territory.
Of late, Montessori classes were launched at Islamabad Model School for Boys F-8/3, Islamabad Model School for Boys F-7/1, Islamabad Model School for Boys F-10/4, Islamabad Model School for Boys Sohan and Islamabad Model School for Boys Khanna Daak as part of the Prime Minister’s Education Sector Reforms Programme watched over by the prime minister’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz, through a committee comprising some Members of National Assembly and FDE officials.
Other government educational institutions of the ICT will have such classes afterwards.
The Capital Administration and Development Division regulates Islamabad’s government schools and colleges totalling 422 through the Federal Directorate of Education.
According to an official in the know, the Montessori teachers (BPS-17) and their assistants (BPS-14) will be hired for an initial period of one year, which is extendable until the filling of the posts on regular basis.
The Montessori teachers will be responsible for leading activities in line with the requirements of early year education, developing work schemes and lesson plans to motivate students, and imaginatively using resources to help them learn with the objective to enhance the children’s learning outcomes within the established curriculum guidelines.
The Montessori assistants will assist Montessori teachers by co-teaching students, maintaining student work folders and administering conduct in the class with the objective of supporting and enhancing learning and developmental opportunities within the limits of established curriculum guidelines and lesson plan.
