WB delegation discusses projects with Hyderabad mayor
HYDERABAD: A delegation of the World Bank called on Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Ali Shoro on Thursday to discuss projects for building of the city’s infrastructure.
World Bank Senior Urban Development Specialist Davison Muchadinika, Disaster Risk Management Specialist Yoko Okura, Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner Zainul Abedin Memon, Municipal Commissioner, Hyderabad Zahoor Ahmed Lakhan and other officers participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed implementation of the Sindh Secondary City Development Program of the Sindh government for the development of Hyderabad. Discussions also took place on working in other sectors, including those pertaining to clean water, sanitation and hygiene. The two sides discussed ways to provide clean drinking water to the citizens of Hyderabad, mega projects of sewage, construction of parks keeping in view the effects of climatic change on the city, and construction of playgrounds.
