LAHORE: Pakistan concluded their campaign in the second edition of the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup with a consolation 52-run victory over Samoa in the 4th Place Playoff at the Johor Cricket Academy Oval in Malaysia on Friday.
Player of the match Haniah Ahmer delivered a stellar performance, taking 4-17 in her four overs and playing a crucial role in defending Pakistan’s total of 137 runs. Samoa were eventually bowled out for 84 in 18.5 overs.
Scores in brief: Pakistan U-19 Women 136-8 in 20 overs (Maham Anees 28, Fatima Khan 25, Norah Jade Salima 3-20). Samoa Women’s U-19 84 all out in 18.5 overs (Verra Farane 19, Haniah Ahmer 4-17, Quratulain 2-13, Fatima Khan 2-19). Player of the match: Haniah Ahmer (Pakistan Women’s U-19).
