President summons joint session of parliament today
Agenda includes most bills which were returned by former president Dr Arif Alvi in his tenure

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari summoned the joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament today (Friday) in exercise of power referred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution.
The National Assembly Secretariat also issued the notification of the joint sitting of both the houses of parliament.
The purpose of the joint sitting of both the houses of parliament is legislation of more than a dozen bills pending for the consideration of joint sitting.
Meanwhile, the 19-point agenda of the joint sitting of both the houses of parliament was issued.
The agenda includes most of the bills which were returned by former president Dr Arif Alvi in his tenure at the Presidency.
