NAB says that it has evidence that land had been illegally occupied in Karachi, Takht-Parri, Rawalpindi and New Murree

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has said that is obliged under its mandate to keep people aware about those defrauding people in the name of housing societies. According to an announcement on Tuesday, the NAB said it was holding inquiries/investigations against Bahria Town and several others entities. The NAB said that it had evidence about the fact that land had been illegally occupied in Karachi, Takht-Parri, Rawalpindi and New Murree. The NAB said Bahria Town is currently under investigation in the NCA case, adding Bahria Town had recently launched a project for the construction of luxury apartments in Dubai. The NAB advised the general public to refrain from investing in the project, adding that if they do so, they would face legal action. The government of Pakistan is reaching out to the government of the United Arab Emirates for the future course of action, The NAB added.
