Four injured in Nowshera gas leakage blast
NOWSHERA: Four people sustained burn injuries in a gas leakage blast in Badrashi locality here on Sunday.It was learnt that four people suffered severe burn injuries when the explosion occurred at the house of one Haroon.
The injured, including an elderly woman, Haroon’s mother, a young man named Raheel, a teenager Shaharyar, and a child Ayan, were rushed to Qazi Medical Complex (QMC) by a Rescue 1122 team. However, the unavailability of a functional burn unit at QMC prompted the authorities to transfer the victims to hospitals in Peshawar.
The explosion damaged the house, leaving the injured in critical condition.The residents of Nowshera expressed outrage over the lack of essential medical facilities at Qazi Medical Complex.The Protesters pointed out that despite being a hospital, it lacked facilities, leaving patients with no choice but to travel to Peshawar for treatment.
