FC personnel martyred in Kalat IED blast

QUETTA: A security personnel was martyred and two others seriously injured in a bomb attack in Kalat district, police said here on Friday.
The incident took place in the Nechara area of Kalat last night when personnel of Frontier Corps were on patrol. Unknown people planted an improvised explosive device (IED) on the road which went off when FC personnel reached the area for patrolling.
“One security personnel lost his life and two others were seriously injured in the IED blast,” police said and added that the body of the FC man and the injured were shifted to the district hospital Kalat. The deceased was identified as Hawaldar Tasnim.
Police said that the IED was detonated with a remote control. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area to trace out the elements involved in the IED blast.
