Punjab approves Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme
Meeting decided to provide interest-free loans of up to Rs30 million for Assan Karobar
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday approved the first Punjab Hindu Marriage Act, Registration Rules 2024.
She directed emergency measures to increase the cotton and sugarcane production affected due to climate change. The meeting decided to start a registration campaign for all vehicles across Punjab.
The cabinet approved the first of its kind Punjab Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme and the CM Punjab Asaan Business Card was approved. Maryam announced free land for the Asaan Karobar Scheme. The meeting decided to provide interest-free loans of up to Rs30 million for Assan Karobar.
The CM set a target of one lakh business startups in Punjab and directed giving business plans for startups. The cabinet rejected the decision to change the name of Gaddafi Stadium.
Reviewing the Honhaar Scholarship, CM Maryam said, “I want to give a laptop to every student on merit.” She directed immediate steps to increase the number of laptops from 40,000 along with providing Honhaar Scholarships to second-year and third-year students.
