Maldivian minister, IIU president mull over partnership
Islamabad: A high-level delegation from Maldives, led by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, met with President of the International Islamic University (IIU) Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed and agreed on promotion of bilateral educational partnerships and excellence.
Prof Ahmed briefed the visitor about IIU's commitment to fostering international academic collaborations and addressing global educational challenges.
They also discussed matters of mutual academic interest, potential collaborations, and strategies to overcome obstacles in promoting girls' education. The minister commended IIU for its role in advancing education and fostering dialogue among Muslim nations.
He also interacted with IIU officials and faculty members. A Maldivian national, who graduated from IIU, shared his experience with the visitor.
