IGP lauds cops’ sacrifices

LAHORE:Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar paid tributes to police martyrs who sacrificed their lives in GPO chowk blast.
The IGP in a statement said Punjab Police salutes brave cops who laid down their lives in the line of duty at the GPO Chowk. Some 16 cops including two ASIs had embraced martyrdom at GPO Chowk.
The IGP said the memory of the martyrs of the GPO Chowk tragedy will always remain fresh in our hearts. He said the courageous officers and personnel who embraced martyrdom are a valuable asset of Lahore Police. The IGP also mentioned that jobs have been provided to the families of the martyrs.
