Driver injured in two trucks’ collision due to dense fog
LAHORE:Two trucks collided on the Metro Bus route at Gulab Devi Chowk due to fog-related poor visibility leaving a driver critically injured on Friday.
The accident resulted in the suspension of Metro Bus services. Passengers relying on the service were left facing severe inconvenience, with many scrambling for alternative means of transportation during peak hours. The collision also brought traffic in the area to a standstill. The City Traffic Police removed the damaged trucks and restored normal traffic flow.
‘Dense fog during winter often leads to such incidents. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and maintain safe distances while driving,’ said a traffic police spokesperson. Authorities have urged drivers to use fog lights and avoid speeding to minimise risks during the foggy season.
