LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said on Thursday Hassan Niazi’s ‘crime’ was not limited to insulting a soldier’s uniform, as his entire track record speaks volumes for his violent acts. She said Hassan was in the current situation and languishing in jail because he had been following in his uncle’s (Imran Khan’s) footsteps. His uncle had always promoted violence, terrorism, and disorder, she alleged.
Azma Bokhari also shared a video on social media, showing Hassan Niazi insulting a military officer’s uniform. She said Hafeezullah Niazi, father of Hassan Niazi, was certainly going through a difficult time. Hafeezullah’s criticism of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was baseless, she added.
