Engro Holdings appoints Abdul Samad Dawood as CEO
KARACHI: The Board of Directors (BoD) of Engro Holdings Limited, one of the country’s largest conglomerates, has announced the appointment of Abdul Samad Dawood as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
The development was disclosed in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.According to the notice, the decision was made during a BoD meeting held on January 3, 2025. Abdul Samad Dawood succeeds Mohammad Shamoon Chaudry as CEO, with the appointment taking effect immediately.
“The Board records its sincere appreciation for the invaluable contributions made by Mohammad Shamoon Chaudry during his tenure as CEO,” the notice stated. Engro Holdings, known for its diverse portfolio and significant role in the economy, expressed confidence in Dawood’s leadership as the company embarks on its next phase of growth and innovation.
