Police service centres facilitated 2.6 million in 2024
LAHORE: Punjab Police Service Centres provided record services to citizens in the year 2024. A spokesperson for Punjab Police said that more than 2.6 million citizens received police-related services from the service centres. More than 1.139 million citizens got general police verification and 0.733 million got police character certificates. More than 0.231 million citizens got tenancy registration. In the ongoing measures to protect the weaker sections, more than 0.104 million people were provided legal and social security. More than 0.120 million citizens received copies of FIRs and more than 81,000 citizens registered missing documents. More than 0.154 million citizens received medico-legal certificates. 4,500 citizens got police verification of private employees of households and industrial and commercial establishments, while more than 31,000 citizens got their vehicles verified. The Punjab Police spokesperson said that 250 women filed reports of violence against women and 1,812 citizens completed the Employee Registration (ROPE) to get jobs in private institutions.
