PRA jurisdiction extended to Murree
LAHORE:The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has extended its jurisdiction to Murree under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to expand PRA's reach to 12 additional districts.
A notification has been issued to operationalise the Murree office following the earlier establishment of offices in Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, and Kasur. Additional Commissioner Ms Marzia Saleem has been appointed to oversee the Murree office whereas efforts to bring unregistered Punjab Sales Tax on Services (PSTS) taxpayers into the tax net are already under way, with meetings being held to engage them. The PRA is actively pursuing a strategic plan to increase revenue resources and establish offices in more districts. These new offices are expected to facilitate taxpayers and contribute significantly to revenue growth. Plans are also in place to open offices in Attock and Jhelum in the near future.
