CM Khelta Punjab Games arrangements reviewed

LAHORE:The arrangements of Chief Minister Khelta Punjab Games provincial level competitions were reviewed in a meeting chaired by DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Deputy Director Ata ur Rehman, Tariq Khanzada, Chand Perveen, administrators of Nishtar Park Sports Complex sports venues and other officials were also present on this occasion.

Addressing the meeting, Khizar Afzaal issued directions to officers concerned to make excellent residential, parking, medical, transport and cleanliness arrangements during the Khelta Punjab Games provincial level competitions.

He further said that the players from all parts of province will participate in the Khelta Punjab Games events. “We are quite upbeat that several talented athletes will emerge through these games”. He said that 12 games – athletics, cricket (tape ball), basketball, football, kabaddi, mat-wrestling, taekwondo, table tennis, badminton, hockey, volleyball and archery – will be competed in the third phase of Khelta Punjab Games.

He said that various administrative committees will be formed for the smooth holding of Khelta Punjab Games. “Medical staff with all necessary gear will be present at all the venues during the games”.
