Tourists asked to take precautions amid snowfall in Murree
Rawalpindi: With start of snowfall on Murree Hills, the City Traffic Police has advised tourists to take precautionary measures while taking Murree in their vehicles.
In a statement, Chief Traffic Officer Murree Mughees Ahmad Hashmi said that the traffic was fully prepared to extend all out assistance visitors. Issuing traffic advisory, he said the commuters should get fuel tanks of their vehicles full while traveling to Murree and use chains on tyres in case of slippery conditions. The commuters should preferably use four-wheel and technically fit vehicles.
Maintaining that no violation of traffic rules would be tolerated, Mughees Hashmi also advised commuters should not park their vehicles in no-parking areas to help smooth flow of traffic. "We need cooperation of tourists to make their stay and trip in Murree as safe and secure", he said.
